About Me

Hi, I’m Megan Wells, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and the owner of Eras Counseling in Lewisville, Texas. I provide individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, creating a supportive and judgment-free space where clients can feel understood while working toward meaningful change.

I enjoy working with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, borderline personality disorder (BPD), eating disorders, self-esteem concerns, and emotional regulation difficulties. My therapeutic approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), humor, and direct but compassionate feedback to help clients build practical skills and create lasting change. When working with children and teens, I also utilize play therapy techniques, art, and sand tray therapy to help them regulate emotions, build confidence, and process life experiences in developmentally relevant and meaningful ways.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and my Master’s degree in Education from Sam Houston State University. My goal is to meet each client where they are and tailor therapy to their unique needs, empowering them with the tools and confidence to navigate every era of life with resilience, authenticity, and hope.

I am passionate about helping clients make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical skills they can use long after they leave the therapy office. Whether I’m working with a child through play and art, helping a teen express themselves in the sand tray, or challenging an adult with humor and honest conversations, my goal is to create a space where clients feel safe enough to be authentic and empowered enough to grow.

I believe therapy should be collaborative, individualized, and even enjoyable at times. Healing doesn’t have to happen in silence or feel clinical. I strive to create an environment where clients have autonomy in the process, feel genuinely understood, and can develop the confidence to face life’s challenges while embracing every era of who they are.

When I’m not in the therapy room, you’ll probably find me with an iced coffee in hand, listening to Taylor Swift, spending time with my family, or staying active. I also enjoy reading, crafts, and getting a little too competitive over a good card game. In fact, my love for Taylor Swift and the idea that every stage of life brings new experiences inspired the name Eras Counseling—because every era deserves support, growth, and healing. I’m honored to combine my professional training with real-life perspective to help clients navigate life’s ups and downs with resilience, self-compassion, and confidence.
